Homeowner Insurance in New Mexico
Many underwriters are pulling out of New Mexico, so all buyer's
are advised to begin shopping for insurance as soon as your property
goes under contract. Know it is also taking more time to process the
new homeowner's insurance, so do not wait until the week of closing to
find out you will not be insured.
Building Fee Hike
The Santa Fe City Council passes building-fee hike. The result
will raise the cost of building by thousands of dollars next year. We
Realtors and Builders fought this measure, but I guess city hall needs
more funds to continue it's lack of leadership in: water management,
no new convention center, and lack of progress on the rail yard development.
All these area could be earning the city much more money than another
double taxation. Attention City hall - act on behalf of the needs of
Santa Fe!
